Get Involved-we want to hear from you
We want to hear from you for two projects the Rep’s office is working on!!
Calling All Young People In Care or Formerly In Care
Adoption
RCY is doing a review of the Adoption program that is run by MCFD (Ministry of Children and Family Development). The Adoptive Families Association of B.C. (AFABC) has partnered with the Rep’s office and is helping to get the voice of young people like you into this review. We want to know what your experience or lack of experience with adoption is, any suggestions and feedback you have about MCFD’s adoption program, and how supports can be improved for all children and youth in foster care waiting for a forever family. The information you share in this survey will be put into a formal report which will include recommendations made directly to MCFD, so this is your chance to influence the adoption program for future generations of children and youth in care!

Comprehensive Plan of Care (CPOC)
The Representative for Children and Youth is evaluating the Comprehensive Plan of Care (CPOC) tool used by MCFD (Ministry of Children and Family Development). Since this tool is all about your needs and your future, the Rep’s office has joined forces with the Federation of BC Youth in Care Networks (FBCYICN) to ask for your feedback. The information you share in this survey will be put into a formal report which will include recommendations made directly to MCFD, so this is your chance to tell it like it is and influence the CPOC for future generations of youth in care, just like you!
