This is an update on the RCY report released in February 2008, which looked at the support system for children and youth with special needs. These reports examine how the Ministry of Children and Family Development and Community Living BC deliver these services.

In April 2007, the Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth asked the Representative to investigate the deaths of four Northern B.C. children who died between 1999 and 2005. The detailed analysis that follows in this report focuses on identifying those enduring lessons that can be used to inform improvements to the child serving system and child protection (2.3 Mb).
